Historic England: Picturing Lockdown

On 29 April 2020 Historic England launched Picturing Lockdown, a unique project in which created a photographic archive documenting the experiences of one week in lockdown (May 2020) during the Covid-19 pandemic.

They commissioned 10 artists from across England to create a final collection to be added to the Historic England Archive.

The five images created by Bella Milroy for this collection were also featured in (amongst others) The Guardian and BBC News.

An image taken in a backyard. There are different types of shrubs, a clothing line and top of a shed visible. What seems to be the centre is a tall green conifer tree covered in leaves with two grey wood pigeons sat on top. There is a cloudy sky.
